Microsoft's video showcases how their HoloLens device will change theworld

April 29, 2015: Microsoft augmented reality computing platform Windows Holographic codenamed 'Project Baraboo' which they are working for years is taking shape now, the company announced today that it would offer developers at build access to "hundreds" of HoloLens devices so that they can experience the technology first hand.
                            
At theit Build conference today, the technology giant showcassed a video about its initial HoloLens hardware, which is cordless HoloLens headset. It's a self-centered holographic computer headset, powered by Windows 10 & Holographic platform with an ability to render high definition holograms in real-life environment. The holograms will appear as real physical object in a room. The headset uses special sensors, high definition 3D optical-head mounted display, and a user interface which allows users to interact through gaze, voice and hand gestures. 

Microsoft on it's site defines their ambitious HoloLens as "Microsoft HoloLens is the fully untethered, see-through holographic computer. It enables high-definition holograms to come to life in your world, seamlessly integrating with your physical places, spaces, and things. We call this ecperience mixed reality. Hologram mixed with your real world. Hologram mixef with your real world will unlock all-new ways to create, communicate, work and play."

Developers with Windows Holographic APIs can implement augmented reality features on any Windows universal app across a wide range of Windows 10 devices.
