Food ordering service Foodpanda raised $100m funding

May 3, 2015: The Germany based online food delivery marketplace Foodpanda announced a $100 million funding round led by Goldman Sachs Investment.

The company runs it's services in Europe and recently launched it's own delivery service in Asian countries like India and Pakistan. Any restaurant can list their service on the Foodpanda portal which helps them cut down on own delivery cost.

The company aims to expand Foodpanda's delivery operations and improve customer experience with the latest investment.

Launched in 2012, the company expanded well to reach more than 40 countries across four continents. The service will allow users to select local restaurant and order their favourite from mobile app or website. The company claims to maintain database of 35,000 restaurants worldwide.
