Ireland based startup Cubic Telecom secured €18M funding from Audi & Qualcomm

May 6, 2015: Ireland based global network connectivity solutions provider and machine-to-machine connectivity startup Cubic Telecom has secured an €18 million in funding from German leading automobile manufacturer Audi and telecom provider Qualcomm to put 3G and 4G connectivity in Audi vehicles.
                         

The investment by Audi Electronics Venture (AEV) and Qualcomm is for Cubic's leading cloud based machine-to-machine (M2M) platform. While explaining about the collaboration, company's head Peter Steiner said: "Audi and Cubic Telecom are strong development partners of new infotainment solutions and intend to connect the models of the Audi brand even better with its environment and the internet in the future."

Barry Napier, CEO of Cubic Telecom in a statement said: "We appreciate the investment from Audi and Qualcomm as we continue to expand our market presence."

Founded in 2013, the Dublin based startup is a leading cloud based M2M connectivity platform provider, focussed on enabling seamless global connectivity for the 'Internet of Things' and business customers, and a licensed mobile network provider with the capacity to offer an instant connectivity for your customer or devices, anywhere in the world. The company has roaming agreements with 1,200 global carriers. The startup actively working with Fortune 100 tablet and notebook manufacturers.
