3D BioPrinter could make printing organs possible

What we hearing about 3D printer from last decade, we all are well aware about the fact that 3D Printer is a next big thing. But, little did we realise that it can actually help surgeons carry out their procedures with more efficiency with the help of 3D Printing. The first patent related to 3D bioprinting was filed in US in 2003 and granted in 2006.
                     

As per ken doyle's 'Bioprinting: From Patches to Parts' journal, 3D Bioprinting is the process of generating spatially controlled cell patterns using 3D printers, where cell function and viability are preserved within the printed construct.

Presently, the surgeons are using 3D printers to prepare for surgery by taking CAT/MRI scan of the impacted area, then by printing out the similar plastic organ using 3D bioprinters, and with that, surgeons will get an accurate idea on exactly which area to cut.

The printing out the real organ such as liver or heart by using fat cells of a patient is still under earlier stages of research, but if succeeded then it will be a revolution in Medical Science.
